  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The materials recycled can be made into completely new products, helping the environment for little to no bother.
  • Cycle or walk instead of driving. It helps reduce the smoke from the cars that pollute the air.
  • Use rechargeable batteries. They use less energy and help reduce the risk of battery acid disposal.

  • Buy locally. Local produce is food that has travelled less, reducing the transport costs and the pollution from it.
  • Avoid using chemicals, especially herbicides and pesticides. They pollute the river, sea and soil killing all living things.
  • When possible use solar or wind energy. It produces no waste, and is cleaner than fossil fuels.
  • Eat less meat. To produce one pound of meat, it requires 2400 gallons of water compared to one pound of wheat which only requires 25 gallons of water.
  • Use both sides of paper, and always use non-tree made paper. (When possible)
  • Don’t use plastic bags. They are indispensable, and are making their way into all the seas and rivers in the world.
  • When possible buy second-hand books and furniture, they save money and they waste less.
